JINVERSE DIGITAL / OWNED WORK / SECOND LIFE

SECOND LIFE — A repair story delivered in two film formats

Narrative motion & sound

An owned 18-second paper-cut-style film with original sound, two 1080-pixel formats, six editable SVG scenes and subtitles. Not a client campaign.

Self-initiated studio work, not a client commission. No adoption, revenue or business uplift is claimed.

SECOND LIFE original paper-cut-style repair film and six-scene edit suite
Original program-drawn paper-cut-style animation, not photographed handmade stop motion. The interactive edit suite uses Traditional Chinese; English subtitles are supplied as a separate SRT.

The design problem

A repair service needs a story people can follow, not just an animated poster. SECOND LIFE follows a damaged radio through arrival, diagnosis, repair, testing and a return home. The fictional repair brand is a studio-owned scenario for demonstrating narrative delivery.

The implementation

Six original vector scenes are composed into an 18-second film, with distinct square and portrait layouts rather than a center crop. Original synthesized impacts, tuning textures and a musical motif support the edit. A browser edit suite provides playback, seeking, scene selection and format switching; the available SVGs, timing JSON and subtitles make the handoff inspectable.

Deliverables to inspect

  • Two 18-second H.264/AAC films: 1080 × 1080 and 1080 × 1920, 24 fps with stereo sound.
  • Interactive playback, pause, progress, mute and six scene positions; format changes preserve the current time.
  • Original 48 kHz stereo WAV, six editable SVG scenes, edit-decision JSON, Traditional Chinese and English SRTs and a source-kit ZIP.

Scope and limits

  • Self-initiated fictional work, not a commissioned repair-service campaign or evidence of advertising results. The visual technique is program-drawn animation, not photographed paper craft.
  • The supplied edit suite is a playback and inspection tool, not a general video editor. Source-file changes need a render step; editing a JSON or subtitle does not automatically rebuild the MP4.
