JINVERSE DIGITAL / OWNED WORK / COMMON TONE

COMMON TONE — A sonic identity with synchronized stems

Sonic identity & original audio

An owned sonic identity for a fictional hospitality brand: a 24-second theme, 3-second signature, three synchronized WAV stems and a working browser mixer.

Self-initiated studio work, not a client commission. No adoption, revenue or business uplift is claimed.

COMMON TONE original wood-and-metal sonic identity mixer with three channels
An original sonic identity and native Web Audio listening interface. Audio starts only after a play action. The demo interface uses Traditional Chinese.

The design problem

A brand can be recognized through sound as well as an image. COMMON TONE explores a calm hospitality identity through a four-note motif and a complete set of editable production materials, rather than a decorative audio player with no usable masters.

The implementation

Original additive synthesis produces the melody, harmonic bed and tactile pulse without downloaded music or sample libraries. Three AudioBufferSourceNodes share one AudioContext clock, with separate gain and mute controls before a master output. Playback is manual and replay replaces the existing sources rather than layering another session.

Deliverables to inspect

  • A 24-second theme, 3-second sound signature and three 24-second stems, all 48 kHz/16-bit stereo PCM WAV.
  • Browser listening console with synchronized stems, per-track mute and gain, master volume, stop and mix reset.
  • Cue-sheet JSON, sonic usage guidelines and a downloadable delivery ZIP containing audio and editable synthesis/front-end sources.

Scope and limits

  • This is owned fictional-brand work, not a client identity or proof of brand recall, licensing clearance for a real brand, revenue or business uplift.
  • The lossless stem preview downloads approximately 13.8 MB after play. Sample-peak/headroom checks are not LUFS or true-peak broadcast certification; the mixer previews audio and does not export a newly rendered mix.
